Duncan Langtree is a York photographer with a passion for capturing in an image all of the things that make a person unique and preserving it for a lifetime.

He strongly believes in using natural light and natural locations, putting people at ease so that the images captured the personality and the emotion of the moment.

"It's much more than just taking pictures, I aim to capture a feeling, a time and a moment whether it’s a new born baby yawning or the joy of a bride and groom on their wedding day. I try to create images that have a voice and unfold a story.”

Duncan has been a photographer since he was a teenager (far too long ago!) and it has been a passion that sat alongside his full time work as an IT Product manager, covering sales and marketing roles for nearly twenty years. He moved into full time photography at the start of 2011 to fulfil his dream of his passion being his job, something he couldn't say about the IT industry!

He has been published in multiple magazines, and has won several awards in international photography competitions. He is a member of the SWPP (Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers). 

Having gone through not one but two weddings in the last 12 months (A destination wedding in Barbados and a blessing in York, to the same wonderful woman!), he is well versed with the importance of choosing the right photographer and how important those images are when the dust has settled from the day of celebration.
