About Me

I was in my early teens when my Dad gave me my first 35mm film camera. Running around my family allotment and garden I would search high and low for things to photograph. From a young age I had a passion for the countryside and being in the fresh air and the same quickly grew for photography, the seed had been sown as they say!

Fast forward a few years and I still enjoy the rural ways of life and photographing scenes outside, using the natural light and working with the countryside to compliment my subjects. I have been photographing horses for seven years and weddings for six and enjoy nothing more than taking honest photos that tell stories and capture emotions, so they can be relived in the years to come.

Here are a few random facts about me:

* I have a jack russell called Doug, he's six now and we often go for a run and explore the Ashdown Forest together.

* I hold a charity event every year. In 2014 this was a barn dance and I'm going to do the same again in 2015; complete with a traditional band, hog roast, cowboys & cowgirls fancy dress and hay bales! You can purchase tickets here.

* My favourite dessert is most definitely, without a doubt, banoffee pie, although this is quite closely followed by creme brulee!

* The top two highlights of my career would have to be photographing in the International Ring at Hickstead when I was only 19 years old and photographing a private function at Buckingham Palace in 2014.

* My favourite quote is 'Beautiful things don't ask for attention' from The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. I'm a fond believer in the theory that you don't need to shout to be heard, or travel to the other side of the world to see amazing things; 'live life for the journey and not the destination'.

* My two trusty Canon 5D Mark II cameras are worth their weight in gold in my eyes, and at weddings Andy (the guy with me in the top right pic) and I have four between us - all of which are essential for documenting every moment of a wedding day!

* I am determined to travel to Italy this year and sit on a balcony overlooking a vineyard while eating a fresh dish of pasta and sipping a gorgeous glass of wine! This has been a dream of mine for three years now, mainly after I saw 'A Good Year' featuring Russell Crowe, my favourite film.

* Unlike many photographers out there I am 100% full time and rely purely on my photography for my earnings. This has really made me appreciate my work and my clients and drives me to continue to grow, improve and learn so I can make a long-term career from my photography, which I love to do.

Exchange Service

If you like my work but your budget does not stretch to cover my prices please do read this post. Photography is more than just a job for me and it has opened my eyes to the wider world. As such, I enjoy giving back to those that can offer me an experience, a service or a product in return for my services.

Hi Craig, It's Adrian,

I just wanted to email & thank you for all the work you and Andy did on Ella and Chris's big day. I know I spent most of the day trying to wind you up, but I thought the way you handled yourself and the professional way you went about your work in the light hearted but efficient manner, was spot on.

I don't think you can say this of many wedding photographers, but you added to the day. I would recommend you to anyone, even before seeing the photos, which I am sure will be brilliant,

Thanks again, Adrian.
