As a mother myself I fully understand the need to budget, especially when you are investing in a piece of art that will last you a life time. This is why I am always open and honest about the fees I charge and there are no hidden extra's.
I am not a high street studio that conveyor belts you through to make profit and hopefully you will see that in the care I take with your pictures. Each one is hand finished and produced in a professional lab to ensure everthing is perfect for you.
If you are looking for a quality one-to-one service, the no rush, push or hassle with a fully money back guarantee, then just call and we can talk about your likely investment in more detail. To give you a brief outline here are the most frequently asked questions:-
What do I get for my initial investment?
You initial investment covers my professional time and is classed as the creation fee. This covers my skill and time in the studio or on location to capture your portraits, the hours of editing to produce your portraits for your private viewing.
It does not include any prints, facebook or jpegs, unless bought as part of a package or stated in the offer that is available at that time.
Can I buy a single reprint and how much is it?
Yes you can, although I have to be honest with you, no body does because they fall in love with the pictures and find it difficult to leave them behind.
A single print costs £50. We specialise in family reprint packages and you do not have to purchase frames if you do not want to. As a rough guide our clients spend between £99 and £295.
Can I buy framed prints?
Yes, of course, if you prefer that we professionally frame your images that is fine. We have a beautiful selection of frames and canvases and will be happy to talk through the options when you call.
Do you sell discs of images from family portrait and maternity portraits
Yes, we do although this is not a cheap option due to the hours of work we spend on this type of portrait. We are happy to discuss your requirements just drop me a line.
Will you give me images for Facebook?
Yes if you purchase our £295 package we will place one of your images on our blog page for you to share with your friends on Facebook. Sorry we do not sell facebook only discs.
When do I have to pay?
To reserve your portrait session we need to take payment at the time of booking. This can be done over the phone by any major debit card - credit cards will incur a 1.8% surcharge. A receipt will be send out with your confirmation letter. The booking fee is non-refunable, however in the unlikely event of you having to postpone the session we will be happy to find an alternative date for you.
When you view your images a few weeks after your session, this is the time you purchase. Purchases must be made on the night of the viewing, additional viewings are chargable at £25. So please be sure to bring along the whole family.
Do you put images on line for viewing?
Sorry no we don't. All our viewings take place in the studio and projected onto a large screen so that its easy for you to choose. Your viewing must take place withing 4 weeks of your portrait session, unless prior arrangement has been made. This is particularly important for our baby's first years programme as your images will be removed from the system after this time.
What if I miss my appointment?
We will confirm your appointment the day before. So missed appointments without 48 notice will not be re-scheduled without an additional studio fee of £25. Failure to show for any appointment on our baby's first year's programme, will result in you being removed from the scheme without refund and all images removed from our systems within 4 weeks of your missed appointment. If your child is sick please don't worry, just call us as soon as you can, so we can find you another date.
How long do you hold onto the pictures for?
Due to the volume of pictures we take, all images are deleted immediately after your viewing session is completed. Orders are processed at the point so it is adviseable to bring all family members who may want to purchase a picture.
Bounced payments
If for whatever reason your payment fails to process you will be asked to make payment in full, by cash withing 48 hours of your viewing, unless otherwise arranged. It is not the responsibility of Andrea Johnson Photography to hold onto images for clients who fail to pay their invoice in full.
I want to pay by credit card
We accept most major debit and credit cards. Unfortunately, there will be a 1.8% surcharge on all our credit card transactions - sorry these are banking costs which we have no choice but to pass on. Please bear this in mind when you are booking. If you prefer to work in cash, arrangements can be made just mention this when you call.
Why do maternity portraits not come with a print?
From time to time we do have packages available on our maternity photography. However, in the main the £55 creation fee will cover my time and skill to create your fine art portraits. Maternity photography takes considerably longer to photograph and edit than a normal portrait. Hence to need to cover the hours spent creating something really special.
