The first years of your baby’s life are truly an amazing time. The changes they make from being a babe in arms to charging about your home and getting into mischief are incredible. Just wait until they reach the terrible two’s!
Your session is designed for us to create beautiful images of your child. To help make the most of your time we encourage you to bring along many changes of clothes, hats, toys and dressing up clothes.
Our Lancashire based studio is perfect for your family.
Key times for your baby portrait
Newborns (as early as possible)
With newborns it’s nice for them to be held in a natural pose by one of their parents. This may be skin to skin contact that will show the gentle nurturing nature needed for your baby this age. If your baby has gone past the tiny newborn stage, we advise that you then book your session when they are getting stronger with their head so we can capture their first smiles straight at the camera. We can discuss all the options during the pre-portrait consultation.
Sitting up
When your baby is sitting properly we can capture the joy and happiness that they bring to your life.
Here we are looking for little chubby arms and legs. This session is very playful so be sure to bring their favourite things.
As parents you are more than welcome to have a family photograph at any of these sessions, just let me know beforehand
We know that you will love your photographs and wish to purchase prints. Prints start from £50 with great print packages from £99 with seasonal offers being available.

Your pregnancy is a time of tenderness and needs to be photographed in the most tasteful and gentle way. There may be very important questions you will want to ask me as your photographer; as a woman and a mother of two – you can ask away.
My photography is tasteful, modern and relaxed; together we will capture the real emotions of this very exciting time in your lives. I am very careful to make sure your session is not “boudoir” in style. I am an expert in maternity photography and can guarantee that your images will be about a beautiful mother to be (add your partner/children to the session if you wish).
Our clients tend to be parents who are looking for creative, rather than run of the mill images, they invest time in preparing for their session. With a careful pre-consulation together we can make sure we capture the images of your dreams.
Pregnancy/maternity photography is more than just portraiture … its art. The way you prepare for your sitting is vital to how your final images will look.
The bigger your bump the better, but don’t leave it too late to book. With maternity photography I book months in advance, to ensure we hold the ideal date just for you.
A word from our Mum's to be
I'd heard a colleague remark with sadness that she didn't have a single photo of when she was pregnant with her now teenage son, and I decided I was going to find out more about something I'd been thinking about for a while - getting some pictures done featuring my lovely bump! I came across Andrea's website and was really impressed with the quality of her photos which made her stand out a mile from the other photographers. I knew she was the right one to choose, even though there were plenty who were far more local to me. I'd been toying with the idea of 'doing a Demi Moore', more recently posed by both Danielle Lloyd and Myleene Class, and when I spoke to Andrea for the first time over the phone, I felt at ease straight away and knew this was something I would be totally relaxed doing with her. With Andrea, there's no pressure to do anything more revealing than you want - although I'd bet money on you being comfortably nude with her!! And there's absolutely no hard sell - but I guarantee you'll want to buy everything!! With maternity photography I reserve dates months in advance and book up very quickly (particularly weekends). So if you love my photography and would like a portrait session I urge you to reserve your date now. Please don't worry, these dates can be jiggled about to ensure you feel at your best.
If you have not left much time before your due date, I will do my very best to fit you in before your baby comes.
